Welcome to Ready 9, home of Southern Maryland Seaplanes - and the Ready 9 Aviation Academy

We are excited to announce that on 01 January 2025, we will be transitioning our flight operations into the Ready 9 Aviation Academy, a 501c3 non-profit.  Ready 9's mission is to promote aviation as a STEM career field for youth and adults.  Our long-term goal is to offer hands-on aviation exposure to all of the high school aged students in St. Mary's County!

 

Ready 9 Aviation Academy will continue to offer tailwheel training and seaplane training as we start to grow other programs.  Stay tuned for a link to the new website.  The gift certificate and donation links here are redirected to Ready 9 Aviation Academy.  It's a lot of the same team, so you can still reach us here.

 

We are shutting down the sightseeing program, but will still offer hands-on discovery flights in the seaplane or the smaller Cessna taildragger.  Come learn a bit about aviation while supporting the nonprofit programs!
